Start turning wrenches and you'll find out a lot, and become the expert you are looking for.

Also, out of the two threads open about your car, you should choose one to post your progress in - this one would be best since it's a project. We like the progress, but it's a little confusing bouncing between threads.

Yeah the other car thread was just like oh OH look what I found kinda thing. This is the actual car that I bought.

What do I start with though just going out and taking shit off to see what happens?

if your not worried about driving it right now and just looking to have it as a project for a while, then yes. just remember(try to) where everything goes. my advice...when you disconnect a line tape the ends and number them. helps me so i dont get confused or miss something. also look at ALL boost lines, hoses, vacuum lines, etc... then give it all a good dose of degreaser and wash that thing so you can see where any leaks might/will be. 034 motorsport knows these motors inside and out. if you have ANY questions shoot them an email. good luck!!

She lives! After all the car phone shit was pulled it sat outside doing nothing. Yesterday it was moved into the driveway and left the battery connected to see if the drain was still happening. NOPE!!

Came back 24 hours later and started up first try without and problem at all! Now all I have to do is find out why the fuses are popping and she will be a partial daily

Today before I went to work I began trying to swap the door pulls from the rear door to the drivers door. I have both of them out and now I'm just looking at how to swap them and make everything still work. Different clips that are attached to the cable seeing as the drivers door one is snapped.

Figured out why the fuse pops! Well kinda.

So today after school I decided to tink around for a little looking for any suspicious wiring. Checked the floor board lights passenger and driver and then tried a fuse, still nothing. So I have my car completely gutted for the most part. While laying on the passenger floor I was looking around at what could be the problem. I decided to disconnect the rear and front Cig lighter and tried another fuse, here is where the plot thickens. At first nothing, then I realized that I had my battery disconnected so I got super excited and went inside to see if the lights were on, yet again nothing, but I didn't hear a fuse pop.

Grabbed the #4 15 watt amp fuse and saw that inside the middle the connection was still in contact. Went back inside and warmed up a bit after working outside.
Came back threw the fuse back in and no sound at all, went inside the car and sure enough the reading light was on. I looked around and saw that the floor light for the driver side was also on but the passenger one was not. Opened the mirrors and the make-up lights were bright as ever.

Now the complicated stuff begins, I had the cig lighters disconnected, rear driver side ash tray disconnected and the reading lights at the drivers, rear drivers, and rear passengers.

With the smell of success I started her right up (fired up the first time!) After she had been sitting for a few months in the winter. Listened to the beefy 5 cylinder purr and the lifters being noisy

Next on the agenda is get this beast put back together, perhaps try and figure out what it takes to spruce an engine up without having to take it all apart, and try and find the gremlins that CAUSED the 4th fuse to pop!
