Got the gearbox back together. Seems to work okay. I can shift into all gears and everything seems to spin :) I can now do your 5th gear swaps.

I know that is supposed to be done but I don't have the tools to do this so I'm gonna take my chances. If I grenade the gearbox I'll do it right with the next one and remember I was warned :paranoid:

looks like you got it whacked.... but if you need more tranny info ( not spencers friday night dates ) this guy is the vw tranny guru of the universe. Great and informative write ups.

Love this guy's site. Its mostly for the o2o gearboxes, but wonderful info for the average Joe.

Progress has slowed down a little. I got the gearbox mess cleaned up so I could keep moving. Holes now cut in the firewall for the master cylinder and the booster bracket is in. I also fabbed up the drive by wire pedal setup :thumbsup:
