Couldnt stand seeing the VR sitting under a car cover/tarp all winter so I pulled it back in the garage..New paint,chrome trim all the way around,1930,s ford headlights I rescued out of the ranch junkyard and refurbished with IH internals and a lil something for the 1600 dp,duals really woke this motor up,anyone have a synchronizer I can borrow to get them dialed in?Runs great but seems it should have more top end,Ive got a 009 dist on order Ive been told that will help as well.WHat ya think?
i remember throwin a new 009 in mine and it was lovely. I can't see your exhaust, but my single port would be the snappiest with 4into1 pipe, dual 2into1's seemed gutless.
the headlights look shweet. really puts the 'rod' in your VR, beauty work
Snail worked great Forest,haven't been able to drive it(weather) but it sure seems more responsive after syncing the carbs(Ive ordered one for myself,after using it I can see Im going to want to own one).Let me know where i can drop it off or if your going to come by the store,Thanx.
