Got the GLI out of the garage and things cleaned up so I could get the Beetle in. Got the head off in a couple hours. Need a 10mm 6pt Polly drive to get the head bolts torqued. I got them out with a 8mm allen, it was skechy.

That zip tie shit is OEM Mexico Plant. I got a Mk3, they were built there too!
