Looking to find ways to make my 2.0 all wheel drive.

If anyone has any ideas to make 2000 golf all wheel drive let me no. I was thinking subframe and trani swap out of passat or 1.8 t Audi tt.

Be easier to get an R32. Or use one as a donor (only if you can find a wrecked one). Passats and audi's are usually not transverse.

believe you ll have to do a tunnel swap as well and shallower trunk. LOTS of welding. buy an early 2000 audi. extremely cheaper.

AWD conversion is possible but, it is very costly and will require a ton welding to modify the floor pan. I have to agree if AWD is a must, look at an older B5 Audi A4 you can get a 1.8T that is quattro or of course the Mk4 R32 AWD 3.2L VR6

If you search vortex you might find some similar projects and get an idea of what an under taking it is.

This is far more work than worth, esp when a model/models exist on your same platform that already have it.

I agree. Not worth all the fab and parting that would have to go into it. I would just get an R32. You would probably spend as much on the build as it would take to just buy the R32.

Well I am just wanting to build something no one has done. So I really want to keep to the 2.0. What about rear subframe out of r32 and trani out of 1.8 quato and have custom drive line made

Anything is possible. I remember a wrx powered awd rabbit in PVW once. That looked badass!
