Thanks for the help Mikey. I'm not one who usually has overtightening issues, but who knows it could have been either. Could have been damaged by a previous mechanic during the first owner. Impossible to determine. I do know there's no warranty when you do your own work.

Brandon,
Pete is working we me. We're working though the details, but we'll get to a solution that will benefit everyone. I'll let you know what that is when we get there.

It's a slippery slope when it comes to upgrades, but my budget rules out a full motor build. The internals are staying stock, unless the lotto comes through. :)

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

I told him it was low on the phone, and he did a great job. Props to A-1 Towing in Helena. Now the tow truck driver who took it back to Bozeman from Helena struggled for an hour at the dealership to get it off his truck. The mechanics enjoyed the show.

I was working on an Eclipse I built, and we had a motor failure, and it needed to be towed. On the phone, I told the driver to bring a 10mm wrench and socket/extension/driver with him. He sounded confused, and I told him " trust me, I'm gonna save you a lot of time and striffe, I have to take the front bumper off to get it on your roll-back" he sortof scoffed, but when he rolled up, he looked at the car, and hopped out with tools in an extended hand, and yells "here you go!" He looked relieved after I got it off.

we have had a local tow truck place (who will remain nameless) drag the front of a 3000 gt off the ground and mangle a front lip spoiler on a mustang cobra terminator edition.

It's been a few weeks of planning and research, but last Friday the project got the green light and parts are on their way. Before I get into the parts I'd like to thank Blake with 3zero3 Motorsports for helping me put together a complete parts list and working with me to be a single source for everything aftermarket. Also, a big thank you to Pete at Bozeman Audi for working with me on parts and labor for the entire repair/upgrade. Both guys are enthusiasts and are excited about the project. Bozeman Audi is looking to do more tuning packages like this so don't let the fact that they are a dealership detour you. They've always treated me really well, and wouldn't you rather have someone trained and certified working on your engine?

OEM Repairs
New heads and seals for the top end rebuild
New timing belt and tensioner pully and few small bits. Luckily, the dampener and water pump were just replaced 4k miles ago.

Upgrades
Vast Stg 3 Clutch and flywheel
AMIKOL side mount intercoolers
Vast Frankenturbos with fueling and intake
ARD turbo inlet piping
Rear diff mounts
Motor mounts
Drivetrain stabilizer
Bilstien sport shocks
Stoptec brake pads
AWE boost gauge

It's about to get crazy! :unibrow:
