Is that the tube going to the valve cover?
It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

Yeah, although unfortunately I sealed it and it didn't do a thing.

So I'm back to what Yasha said. I'm about ready to call this guy and tell him to flash it back to stock and give me a refund. Then call up United Motorsports.

That's not the SJP, but it is one of your problems. I bet there's more broken in there.

As far as the SJP goes, looks like VW stuck it under the intake, so look at this Vortex thread for some shockingly well done pictures: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2725794

I don't know why that didn't ring a bell before but I just checked that little baby out like 5k miles ago(which was a year ago)

I'm just gonna burn it and claim insurance. :banghead:

Suction jet pump checks out. No cracks or leaks. Gonzo told me I needed to do a TBA with vagcom. Jesus...I'm so annoyed.

Wait, so you didn't remove the SJP?

Too bad you can't get it to Billings, or I would be able to check it out. Can't do a real TBA without VCDS. Something isn't right here, but I really can't tell if it's the tune or not...it's feeling like a hardware issue though.

Have you tried re-seating the ECU? Possibly a bent pin or connector?

Also, Mt-Getto offered to send out a spare ECU, you may want to try that too.

I did not take it out. Unless you think that would be a better approach.

Is there any other Vag-com that is less expensive than ross-tech or is it not as good or something. I just don't know if I want to spend $250 right now. Although I know I need it.

I did re-seat the ECU and checked all the pins and connectors. I don't feel like coming across another ECU is that easy you know?

Leave it all in there, no reason to remove it.

As far as VCDS goes, you can run a cheap eBay OBD2 cable and a free version of VCDS, but it's limited. Check into it, because you may be able to do basic things like a TBA, or at least check for engine codes. Total cost would be under $50 I bet.
