Crazy Q Mike, but why didn't you source a 6 speed from a USP? Or maybe you did amd couldn't find one.

A few reasons I didn't go with the 6 speed:

#1 That's a really hard find.
#2 Sellers want up to 2k for just the transmission, and I need all the other large bits as well
#3 The gear ratios aren't that different, an the final drive is the same. Basically, you get 1 extra gear with no real world benefit, except brag factor, and that means little to me.
#4 This seller had an entire parts car and was willing to pull everything I need, strap it to a palette, haul it to a shipping terminal and do all that for a killer price. Great guy to deal with.

Maybe one day, if I stumble across a deal I can't pass up, a 6 speed would be fine.

Update on this project - I got the palette of parts yesterday after work with help and a big thanks to Wade:



Today is the last day I drive the Audi as an automatic. After I get it in the garage, there's no turning back.

I am waiting on the seller to get me the driveshaft, and the B5 side mounts.

A soul black shift boot and V6 pilot bearing showed up yesterday as well.

It's already too late for you. But if I was to do another Corrado auto to manual swap, I would buy EVERYTHING brand new. Sure it would cost a lot more, but in the end it would have saved me a ton of money.
