Gotta love those baby buggy bumpers. Has your wife told you she will never ride in it yet?

Moved the Caddy out of the way in to the backyard and thought this was a cool shot:

After the Audi is finished up the project begins to make this (more) roadworthy. It is licensed and will be soon insured, and I have a 5 speed FF transmission to swap in. If anyone has some extra 5 speed MKI shift linkage parts etc. sitting around, let me know.

More work, only a few pictures. I ordered a few parts from an eBay seller who sells OEM parts.

-Door handle seals
-Dipstick tube
-Door panel clips
-All 3 pedal pads
-Acc. cable bushing
-Small duckbill and clips
-Dash mat

After getting the interior panels all cleaned up and new clips I resealed the vapor barrier on the doors and got everything put back together. Added the nice metal window cranks I picked up from JD3 too

Put all the rest of the parts on and lubed the accel. cable and clutch cable...so much smoother now.

After all the interior work, the damn headliner was bugging the shit out of me, it was saggy and needed repaired. So I said screw it, and pulled the rear and front glass, just to get to the headliner :banghead: .

Rear glass and seal is good, but the front glass just crumbled when I pressed on it. Fair enough, it's OEM (that was a tough decision) but it had to be done and was going to be replaced anyhow. I think the seal can be saved.

But now I have no front glass, and am stuck on a headliner repair that there is virtually no replacement on. I think I will be reusing the original cardboard headliner and vinyl material, but I will have to scrape off the old foam and re-glue. I tried super 90 on a section, and it was terrible and didn't work. Anyone have any experience on the MK1 headliners? What to do?

Little bit of surface rust to remove, nothing too bad. POR-15 after it's cleaned up.

also started to straighten out the lower front clip to get the duckbill installed, but then I had my old Jetta come in for a clutch job, so I'm stuck on that for now and should be done this weekend.

Those caddy headliners suck. Without it the truck will be cold and noisy.

In the past we have just used spray on adhesive on original cardboard liner with your favorite fabric. I've done a few I my old cars using that method with no problems.
I don't recall brand of spray adhesive but it was something recommended by a local upholstery shop.
