Glass guy payed a visit today
I was pleased to see minimal rust. The little that was there is now gone.
Primer'd
Shiny and clear.
for Jerry at Top End Auto Glass. He took the extra few minutes to do a nice job and he did it in my garage with me hovering.

He sanded it by hand while I drank beer.

Got me some flair. Thanks J
I also sorted a nasty electrical gremlin affecting gauges windows and interior lights. The ground bus above the hood latch had developed a resistance to ground somehow so I grounded it. Next up is getting cruise working so I dont get arrested in this thing. Gears 1-3 it's all over the place and runs like crap. Gears 4 and 5, it runs like a dream. Drove it from Bozeman to Anaconda/Butte the other day, and didn't have to shift out of 5th once going over the passes. Even after getting slowed by trucks. She loves the interstate. I'm confident that once I can allocate funds for a proper cat and chip, its gonna run great.

Got five or six hundred miles to do this weekend so..... cruise installed and tested. Wiring was easy. Finding the wires was hard. I'm not short and I get all crampy in small VWs after more than an hour. This car is no exception.

No vacuum crap. All done by the ECU via DBW. 1 clutch switch, two brake switches and stalk switches.
