Beetle part out

Post by benno3231 »

Help me buy some parts guys! i'm trying to get an 02j set up from this guy and he won't begin parting out the cars until he gets other people wanting parts. He's got an ABF block with 76k on it as well as a complete car between between the two he's got (panels, interior, etc).

Funny. I got ahold of the guy and he said he would be back to me about a few parts and never did. That was about 2 weeks ago.

I've wasted my time dealing with this guy before. Not worth it.

Yeah he's a peice of work.... but i want my 02j and he's willing to cut me a pretty good deal if someone else will buy parts from him. he wants 1100 for the whole car. and he thinks it would be worth 4500 if he fixed it up... I don't get this guy.

Just a heads up I got an 02J for $80. So I hope he's in the ballpark with his price.

I wasn't trying to dog on it. I just didn't want the guy to take it to ya. I hope it works out.

Good luck man  On a personal side note, it bothers me when people hold out on selling parts to someone who will put them to good use...for really, no good reason at all. Good parts on those NB's

Oh no I was being quite serious, and if you don't have all that other stuff I still might have to snag that trans from you. What car is it from? And no, I'm sure it's not going to work out with the beetle parts, that guy is an ass. He really doesn't care about the enthusiast.

Oh wow so much miscommunication lol. I was just letting you know that I picked the tyranny up for that price. Hence that to me is around the market price. I'll am using that trans in my Jetta. I do however have an 02J that I took out of my Jetta that has a hole in the case. I think that one pf the rivets let loose on the diff. If you don't find a tyranny let me know and we can work something out for it. I also have the MK4 shifter box for it and a 2.0l flywheel if you need those. Image
