Rain tray replaced, and I fixed my wiper assembly - greased it up and made sure it worked well.

Oh and then I installed the coilover sleeves. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=3359

Wade rustled me out of the house this weekend to hit the junkyard. I picked up an OBD2 connector and harness, and the business end of a wiring harness so I can build a bench flash connector for ECU's

Still working on the ECU - I pulled a .bin file out, now what do I do Trevor? Edit in WinOLS? something else?

Also I had time to install my JHM shifter. They kick ass for customer service - I even scored a T-shirt and free shipping!

At about 164K miles on my Audi (after completing my 5 speed swap last summer), one of the first things I took notice of was the amount of slop the the shifter bushing. Yep, the swap parts were used, but not abused...but there was too much shifter slop, so it was time to find an alternative or a replacement. That led me to find the JHM shifter, then I decided to order the trio kit, which includes the upgraded JHM solid shifter, solid linkage upgrade and the delrin stabilizer bushing for the (5-Speed) B6 A4. I also ordered the Delrin weighted shift knob (still waiting for it to be fabricated).

Here's a video of the OEM shift bushing before:

And here it is after the kit was installed. I ended up pulling out the Delrin stabilizer bushings because of the drone sound...I'm not sure if it's installer error, or they way it's supposed to be, but it was too much noise for me so I put the stock rubber bushing back in and it quieted down. Maybe someone has input on that.

Conclusion: Great upgrade and fantastic customer service. If you are wanting a shifter upgrade for your B6, this is it, don't look anywhere else. Thanks JHM!

Here's a few more pictures from the install:

Here's the linkages reinstalled. You can see the Delrin stabilizer bushing back there:

Not sure. I know just enough to be dangerous. If you want to start messing with things, I think you need to identify your software and find a a good definition file to identify the maps and parameters. Then you can melt engine parts :)

Thank Wes, much appreciated

Trev, I pulled the flash file from a spare stock ECU. I couldn't get my Revo flash to pull. When I tried, it failed, and then put it into uber limp mode...more like valet mode where I could only boost 3psi. Luckily I got an SPS from Aeron and reset it back to performance (boost 9, timing 6) and it was back to normal. Maybe I need to drive up and we can talk shop over a few beers.

Thanks Josh

Blew a coil last week, so I decided to replace them all with the 2.0 TFSI coils. Supposedly they are stronger, more durable and will provide more spark. Since they are a bit taller than the 1.8 coils, one option is to pick up a set of machined spacers. I went with red to dress up the bay just a bit, and I'm tossing out by engine cover, which I think helped the coil(s) get too hot and fail.

Ordered all the parts from Integrated Engineering, got them yesterday and picked up some NGK BKR7E plugs from Cole  Plugs were gapped to .040

Ready to install:

After driving them today, I notice the car runs a bit smoother, has smoother power along the RPM range with absolutely no stutter (I always had a bit of a stutter on hard acceleration and boosting < 19psi). Overall, it's a solid upgrade.
