Re: Been waiting for a good mk2
If you have a scale, weigh yourself the weigh yourself holding it. Calculate difference
I bet 75 lbs, just a guess though.

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

Haha!! I'll definitely hold the mk2 next time I weigh myself. Thanks, I needed a good laugh

Re: Been waiting for a good mk2
This was such a crapshoot swap for me. Most people will transfer the entire engine bay wiring harness (lights, fan, ecu, ect...) from the mk3 to the mk2 which is a lot of plugs on the fuse box and a ton of work to replace everything in the mk2. For those of you who have played around with these plugs, you understand how tough some of these can be to remove, let alone doing it without breaking anything. Some people just cut the ecu harness completely from the fuse box and put power and ground to a few different wires to make the ecu work; I didn't care for that idea either. I took the entire harness out of the mk3, painstakingly stripped out the body harness, which was a completely intertwined rats nest, and got myself down to two plugs to put into the fuse box. Which i promptly did and she fired up instantly. I guess I'm not completely surprised that it worked but so many people have had trouble with this swap. And no one in the threads I've found about this even attempted this method.

Ok so first thing, if you guys have ever wanted to put mk3 seats in a mk2 all you gotta do is remove the back, which is just a few clips that are behind the plastic
