I like also. Looks like you need a set of the small VW hub caps.

Thanks guys - gave her a good wash yesterday and went on some nice back road cruises.
Yasha - you must be a mind reader! Any idea how these get held on? Is there a bracket that the lugs go through?

My old Jetta came to visit this weekend. Picked this up at Montana Import Group in 2007 when I traded my 20th. In laws bought it two years ago.

I'm not sure about how they are mounted. I will have to look into that. I do however have 5 or 6 of the caps if you need any more.

There are little clips that are riveted to the steelie. They clip onto the hubcap. Our Rabbit convertible had them.

Haven't had much time with the new little one around, but when I do...this box arrived from Poland a week or two ago.

Also thought these were pretty neat.

And spotted this while out and about. The guy daily drives an R8.

The mother in law will be coming down Saturday, so I hope to post an update this weekend. May take the GLI to her first Cars n Coffee on Sunday.

Re: Project East Coast - 1990 Calypso GLI
Well, brought the GLI home last week out of her winter den. She got to meet her new cousin in the driveway, my 2012 Golf work car. They got along alright...

Hoping to get the interior out this weekend for a good cleaning and scrubbing and to install some parts that have been in storage since this little money pit came along...

So psyched winter is over. I missed driving this thing! I will hopefully have some updates to post by the end of the weekend.

Well as usual I didn't get a chance to dig into the interior...I think it is going to be a lengthy project anyway. Pretty much need to take out all doorcards and fix latching mechanisms since two out of four doors won't open now. :/
I did get to sneak out and clean the winter dust off last night though.
Need to get the wheels back to silver. I am over the white.

Re: Project East Coast - 1990 Calypso GLI
Well shit hasn't gotten any less crazy, but I hope to give a decent update on the GLI soon. We moved back up to New Hampshire, and the new place has a garage so the Jetta was cozy all winter long.
In January I picked up this little number which proceeded to do a big number on my wallet. :/

Anyway, this Spring I swapped out the sun faded rear bench for a much nicer one. I got a cat back TT exhaust for the GLI and found a set of snowflakes in a junkyard for next to nothing.

This weekend I hope to spray on some Calypso to the new lower valence panel I have and the metal strip along the bottom of the grill. Too much black up front for my liking.
Next on my list is to replace all of the belts. I am determined to at least try to do the work myself (I know for most of you it would be a half hour job) so hoping it goes well.
The little one has certainly gotten a lot bigger than that last photo!

She knows what the cars are and says Daddies Jetta or Daddies GTIIIIIIIIIII. So proud.
