VAG-COM help SAI

im new to vag. an have removed my SAI an got the block off plates from 034. I was wondering if any of you VAG gurus if you have anyideas or any way to push me in the right direction in to getting ride of all the CELs I have. I have trick the computer to thing the pump is still there. but I have is saying it is running rich on cold starts an only on cold starts. Thank You

this is of probably no help at all... but when alot of the tuners do an SIA delete, usually a tune/flash comes with it. So somehow they delete it out of the ECU. And isnt part of the cold start function to run rich until everything hits temp? Some one else should chime in

In addition to the tune you need to get resistors so the ECU does not show the pump and relay or solenoid as open or shorted circuits. They make them that have factory connectors and plug right in. ECU also looks for different flow across Maf so you will get an insufficient flow code without a chip.

Yeah, VAG-COM won't get rid of your sai programming.

I got a chip from BFI to remove my codes when I deleted my sai and the front o2. That's in a vr I don't know about you silly full size v6 guys.

Confirming with everyone else. VCDS will not remove the SAI codes. A custom tune will, maybe, if you pick the right one.

I have my SAI blocked off and pump removed. I roll a continuous CEL, booyahh.

I merely ignored my SAI CEL for about 9 years. Then one day, it dissappeared! Baby Jesus rejoices! And the CEL still works, the bulb didn't even burn out, I checked. Maybe I finally won that staring contest with my Mk3!

well I did some emailing with 034 and they can tune that out an a lil bit of a HP upgrade. 350 to get it done tho. I guess ill try the 9 year stare down lol and eventuly get the tune. thank you guys!!! bakt to learing more on vag com...
