I know I seem to collect these things, but this time its not for me! My friend has a rod knock in his OBD2 Jetta Trek and my aba's are currently tied up. I was wondering if anyone has an aba sitting around they'd like to get rid of. Thanks, Butte is desolate of vw's!

Or replace the rod bearings ... light rod knock is super common on these things when people run dino oil and let their oil change intervals get a tad long.

it was out of a 95 jetta so thats obd1 i believe but i think you should be able to treat it as short block rebeuild between the two...Maybe. i ran it as obd2 before i slipped a belt, hence the bad valves
