Re: My 01 Wolfsburg
Looks like the correct part in the picture. Just verify the VW part number matches. Its not that fun to replace, and you probably want to order additional door panel clips because they tend to break.

Reading this diy

and this one

This looks like a major pain. I might get it apart and see if I can get away with resoldering it. Looks like the triple square set I bought won't go to waste.

Yeah its worth a try. Its not fun to get it out but it's worth doing it so everything works correctly. Its just awkward and tough to get your hands in there to disconnect everything.

If it's anything like an 03 Golf, it's a pain in the butt to replace. Everything inside the door must be removed, even the glass and it's frame. Even the door key lock.paintballguy424 wrote:Door alarm going off randomly. Mike is this the right part?

Don't pay for the entire latch though. Just replace the switch. I got one from Radio Shack for $3. It is not an exact replacement, but with 15 minutes of work with a Dremel with a cut-off wheel, I was ready to put the whole assembly back in. It's been working for ~5 months now.

Re: My 01 Wolfsburg
Didn't have an epc event for a year now it is stuck in it everytime I start the car it is on since last Monday. I did spend a weekend driving dirt roads before this happened. My fear is that a rock kicked up and fried the o2 sensor killing my ECM I haven't inspected the wiring.
What I've done. Battery was replaced this winter don't think that could be it. New plugs, cleaned throttle body, throttle body alignment, inspected wiring from throttle body to ECM couldn't see anything and cleaned maf. Replaced the pedal last year around this time with oem new one.
Obd2 code I get is p2138. Vacuum is all over the place when on interstate holding 70mph vac bounces 5-15 constantly then settles then repeats.
Things I think it could be wiring, throttle body, ECM. What are your guys thoughts?
