our newest member has not only come to the dark side :ninja: but he is also looking for a mk1 rabbit/GTI or something of the sort to build an auto x car out of. my beater is too far gone to help him out, i gotz my eyez open (as always) for something. its seems as if there is an endless mk1 search on this site! i know im mostly responsible for that

There is an almost MINT 83 GTi at a stealership in Townsend. they are asking $2250.

its %100 rust free and probably %95 dent free. the rockers are straight for the most part, crack free dash, drivers seat has a split but interior is in overall great shape.

I went and took it for a test drive and it studders at WOT, and the speedo dosnt work.

it was supposedly towed behind a motor home most of its life. the odometer says 149k but they said that the speedo was changed out. they say its documented at 75k originally.

BTW its Red on Red.

in my opinion its a VERY clean mk1. im sure they could be talked down.

oh and the fuel pump is sorta loud

Dark side huh? You must not know the Subaru community, well.....there more like the green side, so yeah. But yeah, any mk1 rabbit/gti works, I'd rock a decent scirocco or corrado as well. The search continues, thanks for the post Brandon.

I'll keep my eyes open also, it has been a while since someone had given me a rabbit, so next time I might just accept it!
