Update:
Everything is put back together, even fixed the floppy throttle pedal! The pedal came unhooked.
No other mishaps happened thankfully.
Jason (Sneakyboy) was kind enough to come down for a bit and give "his" car a jump because the G60 died trying to jump the VR6.
I am thoroughly impressed with this VR6 Corrado. I took a video after I first fired her up and gave it a few revs.
Here is a YouTube link:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydFe-OW8 ... e=youtu.be

The difference between my 1990 G60 and the 1992 VR6 is absolutely Night and Day.
The VR6 is more comfy, less road noise, smoother shifting. Now you take in to account the mods on it.
Its quicker, louder, faster, lower, and just down right mean when rolling through downtown Missoula. I had multiple people trying to get me to race. One being a newly purchased 370Z with the temp tag still on haha.

Got home and threw it on the battery charger for a few hours and now it starts on its own and has no trouble starting over and over again. Whoop whoop!

I am now declaring my love for the VR6. Jason I don't know if I'll ever be able to sell it...
We'll get you one though... promise. :)

NEXT PROBLEM TO FIX
Both the VR6 and the G60 cooling fans do not come on!
On the G60 I can turn the heat on and that extra trip the coolant makes through the heater core is enough to keep the temp down.
But on the VR6 they bypassed the heater core so I can't do that. I assumed that means the heater core is probably fahked. But I do have a brand new one for when I get the courage to rip open the dash and install it.

Going out to see the boys at Firestone to take advantage of their complete inspection sale. Getting the VR6 Rado a good look over.

Haha, Its habit we brought all our cars out there from the dealership to get inspections and mild work done plus I get a nice discount.

Clean bill of health besides shitty tires, shitty brake pads and a leaky oil pan.

Ugh,
Today I was out driving around up the Rattlesnake in this beautiful weather we have at the moment. Turned around and started back home. Gave it some gas for a spirited take off. Shift into 2nd and as soon as the engine started putting out some heavy 2nd gear torque I hear and feel what I think was the axle break. Can hear and feeling it flopping around as I slowed down. Engine seemed fine and tranny seemed to down shift fine, but there is no power going from the tranny to the wheels. Hence why my gut reaction from the noise and such is that the axles broke.

Jason (Sneakyboy) is going to help tow "his" car back to the shop so we can take a look at her and see what happened.

Excerpt from our text conversation:
Jason - "Dude, I don't mind you driving my car around but please don't break stuff on it."
Clay - "Sorry man."

Gave me a good chuckle.

Okay so turns out the axle joint bolts were not in all the way. All the bolts managed to come unscrewed and the axle popped off. I ended up losing a bolt, sheared another off, and broke a reinforcement plate. Luckily I can access both sides of the axle joint so the sheared off bolt shouldn't be too bad. I purchased a new set of bolts for that axle and new reinforcement plates. It ended up being $25 with my discount.
Going to put the new bolts and plates in on Saturday this week.

In other news I flipped around the brake pads that the previous owner put on backwards... I don't even know how you do that.
I thought I had found the solution to my speedometer not working, but I was wrong. The metal shavings from the brake pads had built up on the front speed sensors which to me made perfect sense why the speedometer wasn't working if the sensors were caked with metal shavings. Cleaned the front sensors off but to no avail, speedometer still doesn't work.
Are there speed sensors on the rear wheel hubs? I'll be pulling off the rear wheels tomorrow and I'm going to check.
Anyone have any tips for the speedometer issue?

Wheel speed is only for ABS. Cluster speed is on top of gearbox where speedo cable goes.
