Wow fair enough. I am in the process of getting the b3's valver running correctly, and when I do I will finally experience a good running stock valver.MT-Getto wrote:Yeah.... Vr swap I did was on a 1.8 16v not the 2.0. I drive the 20v swap all the time yearning for that valver. Loads of power is great, but part of its soul was compromised with the removal of the valver. I may even put it back in someday.

Sorry to derail your thread... anyways, they probably do make a new harness. There really aren't that many wires involved with this particular harness though, so if I were you I'd just remove all the tape on the harness and look at each wire individually and fix whatever is wrong.idubse7en wrote:Great suggestions! I have to agree that valvers are something special![]()
Rebuilding an oem harness is almost outdated, with more people going mil-spec. MAkes me wonder if their would be a market for aftermarket looms ..

Re: Idle Issue/Ignition Timing Sensor
If your valver's harness is like mine then their is a lot of work to do. Like re-terminate a bunch of wires cause they corrode and break at the connector, and, re-wrap the loom after you cut it open to check underneath.benno3231 wrote:I am in the process of getting the b3's valver running correctly, and when I do I will finally experience a good running stock valver.MT-Getto wrote:

Either way finding replacement terminals for a connector plug is proving to be a challenge.

Re: Idle Issue/Ignition Timing Sensor
Check this little tool out its a terminal extraction tool for removing pins from electrical connectors. Not sure if it will do the job but i've been doing research and am hopeful.

The terminals are called "Timers" from what i've gathered. They come as "micro", "junior", or "standard". I believe my valver uses micro and junior. Anyway:

Re: Idle Issue/Ignition Timing Sensor
Look what I found under the edu connector boot wrapped in electrical tape, seven wires spiced into one brown wire
