85 gti wont run

Hey guys my 85 gti wont stay running it starts up ,idles fine you give it gas it runs the just dies,any suggestions

make sure this metering plunger, circled, moves freely

But, I also agree with Mr. Getto. If your fuel pump is making noise, replace it (with a Bosch!!!). Also, replace your fuel filter.

Nah, he got it off VwVortex or something...it's sort of old school. For those that oppose (and can't figure out) CIS and VR6 swaps :P

Doing a CIS swap is like cutting off your leg in favor of replacing it with a stick
