You may find that the fuel lines from that will work better on your MK2

Not sure about the brake lines. I assume your are using the MK3 fuel tank for added capacity and a single pump? If so the fuel lines will be the right length and make a cleaner tank swap.SweaterVest wrote:thats good to hear. do the brake lines from this fit a mk2? i wasnt sure but i pulled them any way.

mk2vr6 swap
I guess it's about time for and update on this thread... IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING!! Only took me 5 years to start it. My mk2 has left me stranded twice in the past two weeks. Once I was just outside of butte and blew a tire. Benno saved the day and let me borrow one from him. Then the next weekend I broke an outer cv. So I had a three day weekend and lots of shop time so I decided it was time to start the swap!

How it started. Supper dirty!

In the shop with all the parts.
Pulled that beezy outta there!
Will be putting the VR6 subframe and suspension in tonight, then the rear suspension and fuel tank in the morning.

Re: mk2vr6 swap
Lol I don't think it will quite be done by then.
So yesterday I got the fuel tank and rear suspension swapped. My goal for the weekend was to be able to role it in and out of the shop. Part one of this venture is compleat with minimal problems. It's starting to seem real now and I'm pretty excited for it!
I have a few things that I'm hoping you guys can help me with. Apparently the front crossmember from a mk3 does not fit so I need one out of a VR6 corrado or b3 Passat I believe.
I'm also in need of a transmission I seem to have misplaced mine... I was thinking a mk4 transmission would be kind of cool in there. So if you guys have any parts laying around that you think I might want I'm in the market

Great work! Do you still have that jetta washer tank btw? My corrado one is cracked.
