With the help of a good friend, I went to Bozeman and picked up my "like new" 1985 Volkswagen Scirocco. Full documentation from new. 20,016 miles on it currently. The drizzle of rain it felt on the trailer is the first weather it's seen in 10 years. This thing, there are no words good enough to describe it. The tires are currently Pirellis that were made in 1994. There is dry rot but they hold air for now. Getting tires first thing Thursday. Here is a link from BringATrailer.com where I found the car. The link has multiple photos and a long description of the car. It's all I hoped for. My only complaints right now, only one original key and the passenger window is inoperable right now. More to come as she settles into her new surroundings and adjusts to living with two Corrado siblings.
Just got new tires. It was really hard to find the same size as the Pirellis that were on it. I ended up getting some 195/60/14 tires from Firestone along with a lifetime alignment because it was pretty out of alignment.
Also I discovered that the driver side rear drum brake heats up pretty good because it's fitted extra tight.
