My buddy Jake picked up a MK1 Jetta for $100 last week and we spent a couple hours at the junkyard and a few hours in my shop and have it looking pretty sweet. Note the early Rabbit Chrome bumpers. We are going to throw my extra Weitec springs and some GTI shock on it and that should help a bit. I will post up pics soon, and try to get him on board here, too!!

And herE is Jake.....prior to the major cleanup!

Nice find ans nice clean up! Hows it run?

btw is that your shop in the pictures? If so I'm jealous. I wish I had access to a shop right now. I'm pissed that the MSU shop closed down.

Yep! That's my shop. You can check out www.warriorautoworks.com if you like. The 1985 Porsche 928S is for sale if anyone is interested. 2nd owner, 65,000 miles, all records, runs great with V8 power. The 95 Eclipse GS-T is one of our show cars, you can look that up on the webiste, too.

We probably could have gotten the Jetta for free if we really worked the guy over, but I think $100 was more than fair. SO far it has run beautifully, especially with 250K on the clock. It runs better than my 84 GTI with 150K on it! No pics, yet, but we dropped it with a Weitec spring kit and some stock Boge GTI suspension I had laying around, it looks much better now. Still a few bugs to work out with it, but all in all a sloid runner and a great find!

Very nice - I've been by your shop in Missoula many times taking late night trips to Wal-Mart and Perkins...and your site has alot of cool profile and project cars. Awesome!

I can't believe it has 250K! What's the engine type? And let's see some more pics with the suspension...

I will get some up as soon as I can. He just finished his exhaust also, exits in front of the drivers rear wheel....

Hey Aeron, how much is the guy asking for the 928? Is it a manual by chance? I was looking for one of those a while back...
