My Ghetto Fabulous Cam Mount

Going to try it out at the auto cross this weekend.




Just need a bolt to mount to mount he cam to.

I have one done very similar, but out of aluminum. They have never given me any flak over it, you just cannont have "unsecured" cameras in the car. Technically our cameras would be "secured'

Here is a hint; go to Bob Wards in hamilton and look for the cheapest little camera tripod you can find, take it apart adn rob the gimbal mount off it, secure it to the horizontal bar and there you go!

I think I paid like $10 +/- for mine.

Those scare me a bit, especially one made out of metal. Unless you've got a good 4pt harness your going to wack your head on that pretty good in an accident. To adapt a famous vortex quote "If you think it won't hurt to hit your head on that with a helmet on I invite you to come to my house and I will hit you in the head with a piece of wood while your wearing your helmet."

Well I finished it up and took it for a test drive. Works awesome. I mounted much closer to the headrest, about a half inch from it.
