Well this is what I'm going for.
Image

I want to go with as much sound as possible.
I want to be pro status. And I think I'll just have you guys install it Aeron. Then I'll give Warrior full props for everything. I do intend to build the box on my own though.
Custom fab it to dimensions that are as close to a real boombox as possible.
Should I shoot for as much as 800 or higher to begin with? I'm also going to need a deck.

So here's the list so far.
2, 10's.
2, 3.5's.
2, 1" tweets.
1 Deck, Mp3 player compatible.
1 amp, Memphis Belle maybe?

Fill in the blanks. I'm new.

No employee hoops there...it was/still is a pretty sleazy place. My roomie sold most of our friends stuff at cost and the owner didn't notice/care. I think he knows its going on but they have done some ridiculous installs there so he doesn't care. A 5k install is weekly business there. A guy had them do two 5k installs on his boats and is coming back for his car  It amazes me how much money people will throw at stuff without doing research.

SO are you really going to make it look like that? I have to say that is very original. SO, you are looking for a full range box for the rear, then? I can get that figured out for you. What did you mean by 800? was that watts or dollars? Also are you wanting to keep it all within one line, i.e. Power reference, M class? I can do either or. I went over the sub pricing before, so I will leave that out.

Power reference class
15-PR32 3.5" speakers $40.00 15/30wrms
15-PR1 1" tweeter set w/crossovers $50.0050/100wrms

M Class
15-MC4 4" speakers(no 3.5 available in m class)$90.0025/50wrms
15-MT1A/S 1" tweeter set (aluminum/or silk) $95.0050/100wrms

I would suggest the Memphis "baby' Belle (16-MCH600)if you are looking to do it with one amp. They are an awesome amp, and my most popular by far. 55 watts x 4 and 600 x 1 at 1 ohm Are you wanting to amp the front speakers in the car as well, or just run the amp to the ghetto blaster? The way I think it would need to be run, you would have to run the belle to the back and run the front off deck power, because if you try to run all 6 (or 8) you will drop the 4 channel section to 2 ohms, witch will overload the smaller speakers. Retail on the baby belle is $689.00, BSVW $599.00

When you say MP3 player, are you looking for mp3 encoding, or Ipod control, cause I got both. Even with the entry level Pionner 1900mp, you get mp3 encoding and it has a front 3.5mm aux input for whatever mp3 player you have. If you step up to the 4900IN you will get mp3 encoding, rear 3.5mm aux input and also direct ipod control if you wish,

Pioneer DEH-1900MP 109.00
Pioneer DEH-P4900IB 179.00
Pionner CD-IB100 ipod interface cable $30.00

If you are going to run a Belle, you will also need a wiring kit 17-4GPKI 4 Ga. cable, ANL fuse holder, 2ch RCA UTP cable, primary wire, connectors, etc. You would be looking $70.00 for that.

Okay, that is it for now. I am on my second Vodla tonic and it is after 5:00, time for the serios drinking to begin. Hope that helps. O, and I have everything in stock that I talked about today, except for the tweeter sets. I would have to get those in, maybe take a week or less. Laters@!

YES. I am going to make it look like that. I came up with the idea and I knew I just had to make it a reality.

800, watts yo.

I'm going to try to keep it within one line but I'll mix it up if I have to.
Which would you reccomend?

I want great highs, mids, and lows so I'm gonna do this system up right.
I'm thinking 6.5s and 3.5s in/under the dash. I already have the 3.5s and I beleive they are power reference.

So, I'm not gonna be ready for sound for a long, long time but I'm slowly getting all of my prices together for a rough estimate of things.

I'm looking to amp everything so the Baby Belle sounds good for the beat box. I'll run the 3.5s off the deck and the tweets I beleive. Then the 6's and the two tens off the BB.

When I say mp3 I mean mp3, not those gay ass I-pods. So I'm looking for an auxiliary 3.5mm rear input. The 4900 has a rear aux input? I'm going to integrate the MP3 player remote into my dash with a removable flash card located underneath by the player.

Wiring kit, check.

So far, I'm thinking:
2x M3 10"s. $500
2x M Class 1" Tweeters
1x Baby Belle Amp $600
Pioneer DEH-P4900IB $200
Wiring kit and Miscellaneous $100

What else people?

Actually no. I can hook up a Python unit for the same price(DEI makes Python and Clifford) or better. Don't get sucked into the CLifford price when it is the exact same thing as the Python units I have. Also soon to be a Viper dealer........Stones, I got you. whatever you need. Except Crack. You have to see Mike for that.

Also, when you say flash card, do you mean a USB drive?I have some Clarion units that have front mounted USB drives. The 4900 has a rear mounted 3.5mm jack, the 1900 has a front mounted one. For the money, I would go 4900, I am actually going to use that exact unit in my GTI. Represent!

QUESTION!!??

Are you planning on running a tape deck on your boom box?

P.S. I didn't know you were a Rise Against fan. Cool.
