See in Colorado, where the scene is much huge-r than here, we have garage days. This in fact, was a rather small RMCB5 gathering with a couple folks from AW as well.Rennwagen1 wrote:What the hell are you guys doing in that picture? And why are you doing it in the winter? In this particular photo, it was timing belt day and 6 of us who needed to do our timing belts did them all at the same time, same day, same house. It was actually May too...late snows and all. It was pretty warm that day IIRC.
Another pic of that day:

And a "carnage" shot:

Another garage day, same place:

Garage Day at 03Indigo's house (and this was the 2nd day!):

And finally, a gratuitous shot of my car as I was "de-modding" right before I sold it:

Re:
Rusty's correct - I changed mine in my garage and it took me maybe 2 or 3 hours...and that's slow because I made my own engine support in that time too. For the 1.8 - pick up the ECStuning kit...it comes with all the parts:
* OE timing belt made by Continental
* OE tensioner Roller made by Ruville in Germany
* OE tensioner assembly made by Ruville in Germany
* OE Idler roller (comes on the tensioner assembly)
* Hepu water pump with metal impeller
* 4 OEM crankshaft pulley bolt
* Accessory Drive Belt
* Camshaft seal
* Crankshaft seal
* (2) 1.5liter of G12 coolant

Everything you need to do the belt plus extras just in case.

Did you get your kit from MJM?
