Titanium? Nope. I think it was lubricated with liquid magic.
It was what was recommended to me at that time. I knew it was expensive, but I didn't have much of a reliable community to depend on for a DV that was going to last so I took the word of the shop that did my Revo stage 1 install, TKO Motorwerks in Auburn, WA.
Here's the [sold out] valve I got along with the sales pitch on it.
This time around I'll probably wait for the DV to fail since I've yet to hear of a chipped 2.0T blowing a stock DV more often than a non-chipped one. The 1.8T was a different deal though. With those you had to worry about going into limp mode from too much boost unless you replaced the N75 valve with the "J" series one or got lucky like I did and already had it. So many little things could be tweaked on a 1.8T. I kinda miss that car.
2007 Black Magic Pearl MKV GTI, 6MT, Revo Stage 1, Eibach Prokit sprints, and a lot of blackness.
Still selling Revo SPS3 unit for 1.8T/2.7T...any takers? PM me for details! I need money for stage 2!
