Installed by BFI Stage1 dogbone mounts. Definitely is stiffer - I got some pretty good vibrations on startup and idle, but now that it is starting to break in it's much nicer, and less harsh. Oh, and I did a pretty sweet burnout with no wheel hop! I do notice that I am getting to the end of my clutch life though...
So, I was thinking I would take my car in for a new clutch - I supply the parts. But then I thought - how hard could it be? I've done everything else on my car including the timing belt.
I'm looking at the ECStuning stage 1 clutch kit with the light flywheel:

Experts please advise.

remove half shafts, separate trans from motor, drop, pull old clutch off, install new one, replacement is the reverse of removal.

OEM is dual mass, but I don't have to replace it with a dual mass - I'll upgrade to the lighter single mass.Roadhog wrote:don't you have a dual mass flywheel?

Think I can drop it out the bottom with my car on jack stands? Is there enough clearance, or should remove the bumper cover?Rennwagen1 wrote:remove half shafts, separate trans from motor, drop, pull old clutch off, install new one, replacement is the reverse of removal.
