The Monster Mats I received for Christmas have oval retainers in the mats; My car has round retainers in the floor. So I bought oval floor mat screws (http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-Jet ... /ES348758/) cause I thought it would be easier and cheaper to just change these out (instead of shipping the mats back and round mats are backorder etc) and I have one or two that were missing. The problem is I'm having a hard time getting the screw part up from the floor and out, they continue to spin and do not get any looser like a stripped screw. I assume they thread into a nut part under or attached to the carpet or do they screw directly into the carpet? Has anyone done this before and if so what did you do. Mike do you know something about these since you did the interior swap? Thank you in advanced.

Re: Floor Mat Retainers
I think they press on and the male end under the carpet is barbed so its hard to pull them off. I had one of mine pull out and I ended up having to superglue the peices together.
If you pull hard enough it will come out and you can see what you are working with.
