lost wheel Key and wrong rated tire

Hello,
So I have had my tires put on regularly by tire rama (and rotated every 6k miles). This last rotation I found out they lost my wheel key (again) and they put the wrong rated tire on. Apparently I have a 80k mile rated and my car calls for the 60k with higher speed rating. By doing so I was getting half the mileage out my tires and paying more for them (the first set they gave me a rebate since they didn't last). My question is that since Tire Rama is going to deny they lost the key is there any way of getting that one lug off so I can replace it with a regular one. I know in order to get the key I have to go to the dealership but I can't justify paying $50-60 for that part.
FYI, Tirerama in Missoula on South said that the reason I wasn't getting the mileage was because VW are notorious for chewing up tires....I guess so when they are not the right ones.
