doesn't really matter what it looks like but i would prefer if it ran, 4 door if poosible and there aren't rust holes in it. i would just like a car that i can drive across this huge state for really cheap. (this is tom formerly "lilblue", that account stopped working for some reason)

found one. an old guy drove it untill his keys were taken away. it was bought driven then parked for 2 years and now doesnt run. supposedly the engine has been replaced but not the fuel pump or injectors. the guy wants $500. Is this realistic? anyone with advice on what it might be worth would be helpful. thanks!

not bad, but injection pump rebuilds get nasty.

A lot. Haha.. Like 400 or somewhere around there for a reman. Still... 900 bones isn't bad for a 50 mpg car. My dad just picked up 2 for 1200 one four door and one 2 door.
