ram - vw rescue unit

Post by MT-Getto »

Got me a pickup on a whim yesterday, so I don't need to bum rides with trailers anymore. 318 with new heads 30k ago. Ton of miles. Seems to run pretty damn well.

This old girl did a 600 mile run over several passes all the way down to Challis, ID to pick up the TDI. She loved every minute.

This old girl has been growing on me. A buddy of mine called me Saturday night to see if I'd help him recover his truck he had to leave behind. He thought the x-fer case grenaded, but fortunately we found it was just a snapped half-shaft. Needless to say he was stuck and not driving out in 2wd.

Chained up I towed him through some deep, heavy and wet snow about 5mi. Kept her cool the entire time. Freakin' thing is a tank with chains in 4low.
