So thought I should start a build thread. So thanks to Forest I now have a 72 Westy tin top. It's pretty clean and has a Porsche 914 engine. I have gone a little crazy with past projects but I think with this guy I'm sticking to as close to stock as I can. It needs some love but I think it has potential.

Did you put that front bumper on yet? or gonna get it all painted first?
Have you taken a nap in it yet?
Nope no nap yet. Been to busy selling cars and getting the A6 running. As for the front bumper I think I'm going to strip the new one down and get it ready for powder coating. Same goes for the rear bumper. I did just ordered some odds and ends from the Bus Depot. I got the faucet, a blue coil, some equalizer tube connecters, and a couple of handles for the cabinet doors.
So found out that the throttle was sticking. There was a fray in the cable right at the firewall tin. Luckily there was two more cables in the stash of parts that came with it. Also retimed it, replaced the condenser and the cap rotor. Runs pretty good now.
So I had a scare with the title but I think it's all ironed out. So now on with the build. Mike I'm sorry but we are no longer exhaust twins. Just got my Bugpack exhaust system from MA Motorworks.
