
So the details are:
1980 (one year only, square lights) 1.8 JH gas (hydro lifters) 4 speed manual transmission. Engine came out of a Scirocco from what I was told. It's basically stock, I have put in a lot of new parts and a ton of work to get it road worthy, including:
Water pump
Heater core
Radiator (Scirocco, no reservoir)
Coolant (obviously)
Thermostat
Fuel pump
Brake flush
New front glass and seal
Attempted new headliner

OEM Bed rails
MKIII GT wheels and newish tires w/ good rubber
Small OEM duckbill
Dash mat
Various seals and pieces...
I also have a 5 speed FF diesel transmission that I would sell with it for an additional price.
My thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=79&t=3117 and it has all the details and some info on my journey to getting it back on the road from sitting in in a backyard for 10 years. The outside is obviously in need of paint, or leave it be as a patina and neutralize the rust. There IS rust, but not a lot of rust holes, the strut towers are pretty clean - there is one large hole by the fuel filter caused by years of fuel dripping from the banjo bolt. Everything else as far as I can see is solid, including the bed, and most is surface rust.
