It seems to run and drive pretty good. Just needs some tlc. I've kinda always wanted a new beetle although this would be my 3rd choice behind a turbo s and a low mile 98 tdi.

I picked up a 2001 VW new Beetle sport 1.8T 5 speed for cheap and it's practically identical to the one Mike got a couple years ago although mine doesn't have as nice of front seats

Just a quick update.
The Beetle has been in the shop for a couple weeks now. A check engine light was on for a cylinder #2 misfire code. My technician friend and myself can't seem to figure it out. We swapped coils and plugs, did a compression test, replaced #2 injector, tested fuel pressure etc... we're stumped.
There's a guy in Polson that wants to trade me his 2001 Toyota MR2 spyder for my Beetle. If I get this cel issue sorted I might take him up on that.
