Fix My AC... Please? I will supply cookies.

Post by Roadhog »

Because I can't figure out what is wrong with it...

Here is what it does, besides not work..

When I turn the fan speed to 1, the compressor will turn on, and the lines will get icy cold and there is a load on the engine, BUT the blower fan will not run.

When I turn the fan speed to speeds 2,3, or 4, The fan will run, but the compressor will turn off. (on speed 4 I also get some nice little specs of foam.. lol)

I'll put my money on the blower motor resistor pack going bad...

It's behind the glove box, and screws into the blower housing - see what happens if you unplug it. Mine was dead and would only blow on 4 - no AC.
