Took an Audi 5000t exhaust mani and turned it into an 8v wonder. Cut the 5th runner and waste gate flange off and welded it back together, cost about $15.

It is cast, but the welded on flange is just for the wastegate so it will be ok. The turbo flange is un touched.

Nice! So you turned a 5cyl mani into a 4cyl - and the bolt holes line up on an 8v? Very cool.

Yup, you can also use 5k intake mani gaskets if you have to in a pinch, just cut off the 5th one! I actually have one for my valver that they gave me for free, cause they didn't have the correct 4 cyl gasket!

All the audi 10v stuff will work on the 8v and all the 20v stuff will work no the 16vs. Just cut of the 5th runner and the wastegate flange and weld together with a stick welder and nickle rod. Junk yard turbo at its finest.

I have been thinking CSI for the hell of it since I have all the stuff to do it. But the more I think about it I just want to go Digi 1 with an SNS stg5 chip and 18psi. ABA/JH combo more than likely.

I like that last combo.
Keep us posted on the engine build.
I'll drive to see this thing when it's running.
