Re: VR Mods
I would go for C2 for a VR6 chip. Everyone seems to be raving about them now.

Re: VR Mods
I think I have heard of this same Jetta, I was talking to one of my customers last week, who is a mechanic here in town and he said he put some crazy mods on a jetta for a girl here in Billings. Apparently she races this car on the track all of the time. He said this car was pretty wild. Not sure if it is the same car or not but it sounds like it.VWJET00 wrote:you could do mods like this white jetta in billings he straight raped my vr at the track beat me by a full second and a half. he has stock exhaust but he has a short shifter, cams, cam gears, pflo intake, chip, and a ported and polished head. i mean he spent like 1500 on all of it but the difference was insane right off the line he started pullin slowly and i could never catch back up. my car is stock besides intake, and suitcase muffler removed. that might be something to think about.

Re: VR Mods
add some underglow, a wing, and a huge tach (especially if the existing one works good) that adds another 50 or so horsepower.

Re: VR Mods
A have a pretty nasty white VR,TT cams and custom chip burn, It was burned several times to get what we wanted. Like 7400 RMP redline with a soft rev limit. Instead of looking for cam gears, you might look for an R32 head they have the oil journals in the cam and cam gears it pulls the valves open further at higher RMP, like Vetch but cool haha. Thats what I would do, namely because I think your idle would really really lope with an adjustable gear. mine lopes with stock cam gears. We need to find this other white VR so we can have a VR run off.

Re: VR Mods
I have TT 262 Cams in my VR and love them. i have done the exhaust, intake and chip but nothing make close to the difference the cams did. I would do cams for sure. mine ran me around $500 if i remember right worth every cent.
