I have everything FI related from my bus(78) and 914 stuff. dont have the fresh air fan.
The motor i have came from a 72. dual solexs, stock air box. 009 dist. no heat exchangers. i will post a pic of it.
That red bus is a Rivera, gots a type 1 engine. cool but too much money especially for this Geizig bus project.
Look around hard for a local bus. or at least MT. there are SO many bay windows. theres gotta be one right under your nose.
This week i will get looking, but i know i can find something better and as cheap as that 75.

Thanks 4est, I can't seem to find much around here so anything your find would be awesome.

I'm interested in the two in Kalispell but need contact info from Ramrod if his cousin is willing to sell and has info. Jason said they are in decent shape and has been out there, maybe he has more info and/or pics? :unibrow:

Leaking injectors, overheating cylinders, Electrical system is garbage. Run outta gas and it's a PIA to restart... You know the motor's melt down?....that's enough for me. Or should we talk about the brakes or Transmission......If you love em, great. I am not the biggest air cooled fan. If I were to roll air cooled it would be pre-67. Good luck with the project Mikey :)

Well, we could bring up issues with the VR6...leaky crack pipes, ridiculous timing chains, and not to mention that silly 15 degree cylinder bank angle. At least you can change the H20 pump in your driveway (or someone elses)

I'm kidding of course, but let's not do the flame war thing. I'm interested in figuring this ACVW out cause it's pretty cool stuff if you really look into it. And remember, I own and work on an Audi, so this should be something I can tackle.

Tow me back a bus from OR, there's a metric shit-ton of them out there...I hear the hippies hide them in the forests when they can't afford to fix them

I know you are pointing out the typical ACVW problems and looking out for your bros, and I was really just pokin' fun with you and not really being serious. So, my bad...I must have read your posts with a negative inflection, and I apologize for coming off immature or rude...it's nothing personal.

Well I have had a bus and I loved it I had zero problems with it except for some random rust and a deer, it never ran bad, I had zero fires (I even had a fuel leak, but that was because of rusty fuel lines). I had no worries in that bus even drove it from Milwaukee Wisconsin to ND I say go for it Mike you will love a bus. I never had any problems with any of my air cooled. But those were my cars. Two aircoolds and zero problems.
