The mk3 handles are not a direct swap are they? If not where did you get these? I'm so sick of telling people "pinch don't pull!"

They are some Chinese knock offs they are a direct fit but don't expect them to fit too well. You can get them from ebay about 40 bucks for the set.

Don't pull too hard...I had a set of those on my old mk2 and on the first pull the cheap casting (go figure) broke clean off. Went back to the pinch style. It's lookin good Darkside, keep it up!

I have had them on my Jetta for almost two years and they seem to work fine for me. Even my son hasn't broken them off when the doors were locked.

So me and the GF got around to doing some work on this thing again. We replaced the fuel pump (under the car) and fuel filter as well as the O2, plugs wires, cap and rotor. Also replaced the valve cover gasket and doing an oil change later today. Well I went to set the timing and seemed way advanced any how now that I have messed with it it runs like sh*t and idles really low. I have turned the idle screw counter clockwise to bump the idle but it doesn't seem to do anything. I removed it completely and replaced the O ring on it. still super low idle and runs like poop.... :banghead: been reading the bentley and searching the whoretex but any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.
