Guys, I am getting parts collected for a manual swap. I either need a cheap parts car, which would be ideal, or a junkyard where I can pull the parts from. If anyone knows of any B6 Audi A4 2.8 or 1.8T for sale (wrecked, salvage, etc.) please let me know.
Here's the parts I am needing:
brake/clutch pedals
clutch master cyl
clutch slave cyl (early B5 one, they're metal)
brake master cylinder reservoir to clutch master cylinder hose (6” of rubber fuel line would be fine)
clutch slave cyl hard/soft line (braided stainless steel soft line, makes install easier)
manual transmission (B6 from 1.8T or 2.8)
manual transmission crossmember or side mounts (must match manual transmission)
manual transmission front CV halfshafts (must match manual transmission)
clutch fork (must match manual transmission)
throw out bearing
shifter assembly/control rods
flywheel/clutch disc/pressure plate
43mm bearing for use as a pilot bearing (or the 3.0 pilot bearing, cut to fit)
rear differential that matches final drive of the manual transmission you're using
front to rear driveshaft (must match manual transmission)
I gotta get an in somewhere with someone near Billings that does car auctions or something with wrecked cars, esp. Audi. When Wade and I went picking, we found literally no Audi's. Wonder where they all are going...
Lol yeah its getting old and I have about 154k on it right now, so I expect the TC to need replaced within a year or two. If I get all the parts lined up I can swap it in a couple of weekends.
Throwing stage 2 at the ZF trans hasn't been best practice but its held up fine. Still shifts great but I want to be ahead of the ball on the 5 speed swap.
Jason I think I got an email back from the Russians. Says he has all the parts but its a B5 A4. I need to do some cross reference, cause I'm not positive everything will work.
