Miles on car: uhhhh..... less then 50k (on engine)

I am actually amazed at the pressure in it. it usually runs 75-100 lbs unless it is idling.I acutally installed an oil mpressure guage in it to check. The damn thing runs like a top. You've seen me drive it, and I ain't nice to it.......Now if I would just get under it and fix the exhaust rattle.....

Anyone ever use royal purple motor oil? Is it worth the extra cost?
Also should I run something different in the winter?

I hear Royal Purple is the shit. I plan on using their coolant after the swap.

You should start running 5w-40syn, its the standard oil for your motor year round. All 1.8t's and 2.0t's are supposed to run 5w-40syn according to vw audi

Where do they sell Elf around here? I was actually talking about that with chris last night...

I was going to get some royal purple for the change Ive been saying I am going to do for the past 3 weeks... decided to wait to the summer to spend the extra cash. Mobile 1 5w30 will suffice for now.

I have heard good things about the Royal Purple, but isn't it like fourty two dollars a quart or something?!

It's expensive but not that bad haha.
I'll definetely either be running RP or Water Wetter in the GTI after the build.
