Scirocco F street prepared engine options????
A few too many revs at top gun and now my 1.6 is smoking pretty bad. Does anyone have any leads on a engine set up which will keep me legal in FSP, but give me a little more power. Rulebook says I can swap in anything from the same line in appendix. This means any 8V scirocco engine, so what is the top dog engine??

2.0 xflow. get one from a pre-95 car.
just dont run it on obd1. go digifant.
if you plan to keep it counterflow get a JH head and put it on an ABA bottom end.
or if you get real crazy put a JH head on a 16v bottom end (13.6:1 comp)

Check the rules on overboring also, I believe you are allowed a first overbore(.020) and still remain class legal. In the SP classes you might be able to get a second (.040) that way you can start with a 1.8L and get some more displacement out of it.
