So my check engine light went out
which was quickly followed by my cluster lighting going out as well
. The dimmer switch is still lit and controls the climatronic dimming but no go on the cluster. The MFA [temperature, mpg, etc] is still illuminated. I am hoping its a fuse for the cluster backlighting but wondering if anyone has seen or heard of cluster lights dying around 100k miles

Do you have a spare euro switch (or stock) that you can swap out? If the same thing happens with the new switch then I would suspect a loose connection to or in the cluster. Pretty sure there is no fuse for the cluster LEDs only. No CEL is cool...no lights sucks.Mill3niumThr33 wrote:So my check engine light went outwhich was quickly followed by my cluster lighting going out as well

Yea, we could try swapping switches, or maybe just try jumpering the correct terminals, I think I have those all mapped out somewhere..

I dunno, I was half drunk when I wrote it. I was just thinking about the opening scene of F&F 1 when Paul Walker is flogging that eclipse in the stadium parking lot. If you pay attention, you cna hear him shift 6 times, hence a 7 speed trans. They came standard in the JDM DSM cars........
and since I have never heard of a cluepon, I will not charge for this one.......
